Bitcoin's price is around $60,000 as of the creation this post.

When I first started earning bitcoin in online opportunities the price was around $3,500.

Shortly thereafter I began Buying Bitcoin to hold, as an investment, the price then was just under $4,000.

I'm curious to know at what stage some of you got in.

I bought my first in triple digits. I think it was around $250 or so. I had two others. One in high triple digits and one around $1400 I think.

The problem was I sold most of it under $20K in the first run to $20k or turned it into traffic, upgrades, and advertising. What I have now is all paid for but just a fraction of what I had. I also turned about 10K of it into stocks that I trade so it is a no-lose long term. My goal for it was $50K so because we hit that all my plans for it are satisfied. I probably netted out $30K on a sub-3k investment but most of that has been converted to other things and also charitable giving.

Somewhere in this world hundreds of people are drinking pure, clean water for the next 20 years thanks to bitcoin!

I am still banking on ETH to do something. I have three of those also bought with my BTC gains and won't sell for a long time. And I have some of those new fun tokens from the freebitco.in site. I would recommend those because that is a huge site and they will make go up with the power of their site IMO. They only cost about 4 cents right now.

Sounds like a success, Newsong. I just started buying ETH a few weeks ago.

I think ETH will do better over the near term because of the smart contracts that can be built on their networks. So they should be more versatile than BTC. How far it will run, I'm not sure.

A simple trading strategy for the two would be to put 50% of your funds in ETH and 50% in BTC (or use different % numbers) and as the two move at different rates against each other, sell one to buy the other to get back to your fixed percentages. It's a great way to force yourself to buy low and sell high.

First, Middle and Last acquisition cost was Free. Crypto is way to volatile to trade real money for, so I only trade from Crypto to Gift Cards I use to buy gifts or groceries with.

You can buy Silver with crypto, that's a sound strategy if you're earning crypto from Faucets & PTC programs. I buy from providentmetals.com with Bitcoin.

If things get tough, you can't eat silver.

Silver is very easy to convert back to currency, to buy Anything, if things get rough. If nothing happens, you still have your money.

Food is harder to convert back to money if you need emergency equipment, like a generator. And if nothing happens, now you have old food.

All very true, but Bitcoin can buy Gift Cards to buy anything I want including food, generators or anything else.
